Weiss & Company’s client-directed “Charity of Your Choice” holiday giving effort is now in full swing, as the company today named seven more organizations to the list of charities receiving donations.
Company Administrative Manager Britta Knott announced the recipients for October and early November. The group includes:
Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association (GLASA), dedicated to empowering youth, adults, and injured military personnel with physical and visual disabilities
High Jump, a tuition-free academic enrichment program for Chicago middle schoolers from families of limited financial means
Huntington’s Disease Society of America
Imerman Angels, providing free one-on-one cancer support to cancer fighters, survivors and caregivers
JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)
Journey Care, Illinois’ largest nonprofit provider of palliative, supportive and end-of-life care
Kreider Services, a Dixon-based nonprofit providing direct care programs to persons with developmental disabilities
Each recipient was nominated by a Weiss client during the company’s 50th anniversary gala held in early September. The effort is ongoing, with a new charity selected every week through the end of the year. Check back in December for a final update.
