Client Accounting Services Associate
The Client Accounting Services Associate is responsible for utilizing his or her educational background as well as communication and organizational skills to assist with the preparation of client accounting, payroll, sales tax and accounts payable for clients. The Accounting Services professional should be proactive and comfortable working directly with clients.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare payroll including quarterly and annual federal and state reports
- Prepare sales tax reports (multi-state)
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Analyze profitability, report positive/negative trends to management
- Reconcile bank statements
- Track fixed assets
- General ledger analysis
- Trial balance preparation
- Prepare financial reports for management and CPA review
- Prepare basic corporate and individual returns
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks efficiently
- Accuracy in reporting and attention to detail is critical in this position
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 3+ years of bookkeeping and accounting experience, public accounting experience a plus
Additional Skills
- Knowledge of QuickBooks and MS Office
- Experience working with financial statements
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Process-oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Solid organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a demanding, deadline driven environment
- Ability to develop and maintain professional client relationships
