Senior Audit Associate

Glenview, IL

The Audit Senior Associate is primarily responsible for providing audit and review services for privately held businesses, employee benefit plans and exempt organizations. As a Senior Auditor you will provide engagement supervision, work closely with clients to understand their business acting as a subject matter expert and advisor, and collaborate with Weiss & Company LLP Managers and Partners.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform audit and review services in all stages of the engagements across many industries
  • Conduct financial reporting for closely held businesses
  • Provide assurance services for employee benefit plans and not for profit entities
  • Provide consulting service related to internal control procedures and risk assessment
  • Provide corporate, partnership and individual tax planning and preparation
  • Meets internal deadlines to match the client expectations for timely delivery of service

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting
  • Completion of CPA Exam, or working toward, highly preferred
  • 3+ years of Public Accounting experience

Additional Skills

  • Knowledge of tax software and MS Office
  • Basic knowledge of U.S. GAAP and GAAS
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Process-oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Solid organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a demanding, deadline driven environment
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional client relationships
