Senior Audit Associate

The Audit Senior Associate is primarily responsible for providing audit and review services for privately held businesses, employee benefit plans and exempt organizations. As a Senior Auditor you will provide engagement supervision, work closely with clients to understand their business acting as a subject matter expert and advisor, and collaborate with Weiss & Company Managers and Partners.

Job Duties

  • Perform audit and review services in all stages of the engagements across many industries
  • Conduct financial reporting for closely held businesses
  • Provide assurance services for employee benefit plans and not for profit entities
  • Provide consulting service related to internal control procedures and risk assessment
  • Provide corporate, partnership and individual tax planning and preparation
  • Meets internal deadlines to match the client expectations for timely delivery of service

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting
  • 3-6 years of Public Accounting experience required
  • CPA or working towards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel, along with Adobe Acrobat.

Additional Required Skills

  • Possess solid verbal and written communication skills
  • U.S. GAAP and U.S. GAAS knowledge
  • Possess client development/relationship-building skills
  • Possess solid decision-making skills
  • Capable of working in a demanding, deadline driven environment with a focus on detail and accuracy
  • Able to identify and work to resolve complex accounting issues
