Tax Manager
The Tax Manager is responsible for tax compliance, tax consulting, and efficiently completing preparation of all clients’ tax returns. The Tax Manager will develop and mentor staff, form long term relationships with clients and generate new business.
Primary Responsibilities
- Deliver a full range of tax services in compliance with laws and regulations
- Provide innovative tax planning and review complex income tax returns
- Find and implement opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures
- Manage tax provision and tax compliance process
- Build new and existing client relationships and demonstrate knowledge of client business
- Manage, train, and review tax staff
- Develop and mentor tax associates
- Assume various responsibilities to assist with the overall management of the Firm
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or other relevant field required. Master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation preferred
- 5+ years of prior experience preparing and reviewing tax returns. Supervisory experience preferred
- CPA certification required
- Technical expert knowledge of tax law
Additional Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with tax research software such as CCH and Bloomberg. Also, in tax compliance software, such as CCH Document, BNA, CCH Fixed Assets beneficial
- Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance and procedures for corporations
- Familiarity with U.S. federal, state and local reporting requirements
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Good at meeting deadlines and solving problems
- Exceptional client service along with the ability to develop excellent client relationships
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Analytical skills with detail orientation
- Ability to work independently and with a team

Salary Range
$110,000 - $180,000 Annually
