2023 Tax Season In Review

If last year’s tax season was all about getting back to “business as usual,” this year’s theme can be summed up in the old adage, “the more things change, the more they stay the same.”

2023 has seen plenty of change here at Weiss. First and foremost was our conversion to CCH Axcess, a cloud-based tax preparation software solution that is among the most advanced and respected in the industry. The change yielded many benefits to staff and clients alike including enhanced security of client information and streamlined compliance with federal and state entities.

There were other important changes as well. Last year’s adoption of SafeSend has provided our clients with something they have been asking for – the ability to sign their tax returns digitally as we move closer to achieving the goal of a 100% paperless environment.

Which brings us back to the one thing that hasn’t changed: the consistently superior performance of the Weiss professional team. From our Class of 2023 interns and newly arrived associates to every manager, partner and principal, we delivered the same 110% effort and dedication our clients have come to expect year in and year out for over 50 years.

It’s not the easiest way to do business. But for Weiss & Company, it’s the only way. And that’s one thing that will never change.
