IEPA Now Accepting EV Rebate Applications Through January 31
Round 1 of Illinois’ electric vehicle rebate program is now underway, with applications being accepted through January 31, 2023 for rebates of up to $4,000 on qualified purchases of new and used all-electric vehicles.
The popular program, which was launched by the Illinois EPA on July 1st of last year, is open to Illinois residents who purchase all-electric vehicles (including motorcycles) for non-commercial use. While there is no limit on the number of qualifying vehicles for which a single consumer can apply for the rebate, the program’s funds are limited, so time is of the essence.
Rebate applications for the current cycle must be postmarked within 90 days of the vehicle purchase date, on or before January 31st. After that, IEPA anticipates additional funding for a second application period later this year.
