Summer 2022 Staff Update

As summer draws to a close, Weiss & Company LLP is pleased to welcome three new associates to our professional team.

Sergiu Vecerdea has been hired as a senior accountant in the firm’s accounting & assurance department. He provides assurance services to clients in a variety of industries, with a specific focus on Manufacturing. He holds a BS in accounting from DePaul University.

Grace Piotrowski joins our tax department as a staff accountant. She provides accounting, consulting, and tax services to clients in a variety of industries. Grace holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees in accounting from Northern Illinois University.

Brett Champan has been brought on as a senior tax accountant. He has 20+ years of experience in both public and private accounting, and also holds the title of Enrolled Agent – a federally authorized tax practitioner recognized by the IRS. He holds a BS in accounting from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse.

We’d also like to recognize and thank our summer team – interns Hamza Asif and Tim Acuesta as well as part-time summer associate Mary-Frances Sheffert – for their dedication and hard work all summer long. We wish them the best as they head back to school.
