Weiss & Company LLP Named One of Illinois’ Best Places to Work for the 14th Year

Weiss & Company LLP, a leading accounting and advisory firm headquartered in Glenview, has been recognized yet again as a Best Place to Work in Illinois in the Small Employer (15-99 employees). 2025 marks the 14th year in a row that Weiss has been honored with the award.

Dan Fortman, Managing Partner of Weiss, was not surprised by the results. “Our people are our greatest strength. They are what make Weiss a terrific place to work. Every day our employees deliver excellent service to our clients. We’re proud of each of them and appreciate the dedication, intelligence, and problem-solving skills they bring to every assignment,” said Fortman.

Two areas where Weiss excelled are Relationship with your Manager and Diversity & Inclusion. “Relationship with your manager” measures being treated with respect, communication between the parties and overall trust. “Diversity and inclusion” measures how comfortable employees are bringing their authentic selves to work every day. Respect, good communication, trust and authenticity are values Weiss strives to promote and embody.

Fortman’s assessment was seconded by Kari Thompson, the firm’s talent acquisition manager. “Our employees go above and beyond. We appreciate how hard they work and the skills they use every day,” said Thompson.

This statewide survey and awards program, now in its 19th year, was designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best places of employment in Illinois, benefiting the state’s economy, its workforce, and businesses. The annual program is presented by the Workforce Research Group and presented by the Daily Herald Suburban Business.

Twenty percent (20%) of the ranking score is based on an evaluation of each company’s workplace policies, practices, and demographics. Eighty percent (80%) of the score is determined by a survey of employees to measure their experiences. The combined score determines the final ranking.
