Weiss Announces Five Promotions

Continuing its long tradition of developing homegrown talent and promoting from within, Weiss & Company LLP was pleased to announce five promotions last month. Summaries:

Mike Izatt was promoted to Director in the firm’s tax department. Mike has more than 25 years of experience in public accounting with an emphasis on financial planning and analysis, mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, valuation, transfer pricing, statistical tax analysis, litigation support, and IRS controversy. His impressive education credentials include a master’s degree in taxation from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Anna Lomeyko was promoted to Manager, also in the firm’s tax department. A five-year Weiss veteran, Anna has a PhD in taxation and over ten years of experience in accounting and tax services, providing services in both English and Russian.

Gina Belardo was promoted to Supervisor in the tax department. She joined Weiss in 2017 as part of the Fischman and Associates merger and today is an Enrolled Agent authorized to represent taxpayers before all levels of the IRS, including audits, collections and appeals.

Mike Ibanez was promoted to Senior Accountant in Weiss’ assurance services department. Mike’s areas of specialization include audit and review services for private companies and tax-exempt organizations. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Florida Atlantic University.

Riya Patel was promoted to Senior Accountant in the firm’s audit and assurance department. She provides audit and related services to clients across various industries and is fluent in Gujarati and Hindi. Riya has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from the University of Illinois Chicago.
