Weiss Announces Two New Associates, Six Promotions

Weiss & Company LLP is pleased to welcome two new associates to the firm’s tax accounting team. Katherine Chung has joined as a senior tax manager, and Anna Lomeyko has joined as a tax accountant.

“We’re excited to bring Katherine and Anna onboard as Weiss continues to grow,” said Weiss & Company Managing Partner Dan Fortman. “Their diverse skill sets and solid experience bolster our capabilities as we prepare for what we expect to be stronger than ever demand for our tax services.”

Chung, CPA, MST, provides consulting and tax services to clients in industries such as manufacturing, retail/distribution, real estate, professional practices, service companies, and restaurants. She specializes in federal, state, and international tax planning and compliance for closely held, small- to mid-market companies that are taxed as pass-through entities and C corporations. She also works with business owners and high-net-worth individuals.

Chung joins Weiss from a local mid-sized accounting firm, and looks forward to connecting with clients on a personal level. She received a BS in accounting from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a MS in taxation from Northern Illinois University. She lives with her husband and two children in the northern suburbs, where she enjoys taking on home décor projects and traveling in her free time.

Lomeyko, CPA, joins Weiss from a national tax services company. Originally from Russia, she provides tax services to individuals and trusts and is fluent in both English and Russian. She has a master’s degree in finance and a PhD in taxation from Volgograd State University in Russia. Before relocating to the United States, she served as an economist and in several leadership positions in finance. She lives in the northwest suburbs with her family and enjoys traveling and attending musical and theater events.

In addition to the new associates, Weiss also promoted several staff within the company in recognition of their hard work and commitment:
